Forty five minutes from Meigle.
Skis and equipment can be hired from Blairgowrie or at the ski centre in advance if you prefer.

Available at Glenisla and Kirriemuir to varying levels though the beautiful Angus glens.

Glamis Castle - 3 miles from Meigle
Childhood home of the late Queen Elizabeth HRH The Queen Mother,
displays many interesting personal photographs and ephemera of the Royal Family.
Conducted tours take approximately fifty minutes.
Visitors enjoy the variety that Glamis Castle has on offer. 
The garden and grounds are equally impressive. 
Many events are held at the Castle including an annual Prom and firework display and Extravaganza for vintage vehicles. 

Meigle
Meigle museum - a collection of Pictish and early Christian Stones found in the vicinity.

Kirriemuir
The home of J M Barrie author of "Peter Pan" is maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.  Also an award winning  'Gateway to the Glens' museum.

Glenisla

Just one of the enchanting Angus glens, lying just to the North of the hotel.  Well worth a drive around, or perhaps following the route of  'The Country Connection' a cottage industry collective including crafts, a pottery and knitwear outlet.   A fun and beautiful day trip.
